Sarah Lashkoo is the Chief Governance Officer & Board Secretary at Ominvest Group, where she leads the Group’s legal, compliance, and governance functions across Ominvest and its managed subsidiaries. With over 16 years of experience in commercial and corporate law, compliance and governance, Sarah provides strategic counsel on complex legal and regulatory matters, supporting the Group’s diverse investment and operational activities.
Since joining Ominvest in 2014, Sarah has played a pivotal role in driving major transactions and corporate initiatives. These include the acquisition of RSA Middle East by National Life and General Insurance SAOG, the issuance of RO 60 million Unsecured, Perpetual, and Subordinated Bonds, and RO 13 million Unsecured, Subordinated, and Mandatory Convertible Bonds. Sarah was instrumental in establishing Ominvest private equity arm and multiple DIFC entities, including a category 3C licensed company, while also facilitating investments across Ominvest’s healthcare and education platforms. In addition, Sarah supported the development of a landmark real estate project through Ominvest’s dedicated real estate arm.
Sarah is recognized for her thought leadership in the legal community and is a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment, having delivered keynote addresses and participated in panels such as Muntada al Mará and the Al Mar’a Summit & Annual Awards.
Prior to Ominvest, she worked at the Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs, focusing on international treaties and government contracts.
Sarah holds a Master of Law in International Business and Economic Law from Georgetown University, USA, a Bachelor of Law from the University of Reading, UK, and a certified Diploma in Corporate Governance from the Corporate Governance Institute (Ireland, UK). She currently serves on the Board of Directors of LIVA Insurance SAOC and is a member of the Muscat Clearing & Depository Co. SAOC Issuer User Committee.
