The highly anticipated fourth Ominvest Ramadan Football Championship concluded successfully after two weeks of intense competition and memorable moments. Held under the esteemed patronage of Abdulaziz Al Balushi, Group CEO of Ominvest, the tournament took place at the Military Technological College from 22 February to 4 March 2026, exemplifying the Group’s dedication to promoting sports, people wellbeing, active lifestyles, and fostering a strong sense of unity.
The final match delivered an exciting spectacle as Takaful Oman emerged victorious over Alizz Islamic Bank in a dramatic shootout (5–1), securing their second championship title,in a thrilling and closely contested showdown. The event was attended by Ominvest executives, CEOs from participating companies, and enthusiastic supporters from across the Group. Reflecting on the championship’s impact, Abdulaziz Al Balushi stated, “This event has been a truly exceptional experience, with participants displaying remarkable competitiveness and outstanding performances. The final match was particularly exciting, showcasing the dedication and teamwork of both finalists. This year’s edition witnessed expanded participation with the inclusion of the Authority for Public Services Regulation for the first time, alongside Oman Arab Bank, Ubhar Capital, National Finance, Alizz Islamic Bank, and Bank Muscat.
